David Sedaris realises how difficult it is to understand what was going on when he arrives in immersive french classroom. Sedaris also felt uncomfortable because he was older than others student in the classroom.He explain the difficulty he encounters with his teacher who does not care about the effort that he made to speak the foreign language. Sedaris further, mentions understand a language does not mean that people can automatically speak the language.The good point is Sedaris never give up on trying to speak the french language which is very challenging ,and even make more efforts to reach his goal.
Audre Lorde expresses her anger about racism .She states that her sister’s high school did not allow her sister to participate in a trip for Washington .On her way up to Washington her parents forbidden her to eat in the train car to avoid her to be descriminate by white people .Her family and her do not have the right to seat in a restaurant, and have fun like every body else because they were black .They were subject to racism .She is furious that her parents know what is happening ,and they are ignoring the discrimination about Black people. Despite, all of this she stands up against discrimination about Black people by witing a a letter to the president of the United States to let him know how black people have been treated unfairly.
